These samples will give you a better idea of what the resources look like and how you can use them with your students.

TERMINOLOGY PACKAGES

The Terminology Packages are designed to equip students with the necessary vocabulary and understanding of industry-specific terms. These packages include Study Sheets, PowerPoint slides, Tests, and Answer Keys to help students prepare for exams and grasp lessons and demonstrations. By mastering the terminology, students can communicate confidently in the hairstyling industry and increase their chances of success on final exams. The PowerPoint slides facilitate learning at one's own pace, whether in the classroom or on digital platforms.

BOOKLETS

There are 6 booklets which teachers may provide to students to enhance student learning. Many of the booklets come with a small review or test. The booklets may be handed out in class and/or digitally loaded onto the school’s educational platform. Here is an example of the 55-page Safety Booklet. Every page of this booklet relates to hairstyling safety. The booklet is divided into three sections: preventative safety, human resources safety and dealing with unforeseen situations.

REVIEW PACKAGES

Review packages offer comprehensive reviews of key hairstyling concepts and skills. Each package consists of individual reviews with 10-15 fill-in-the-blank questions. These reviews align with multiple-choice tests and can be used for formative or summative assessment, as well as pre-tests. Answer keys are included for easy grading and assessment by teachers. The reviews encourage class discussions to ensure student comprehension, with the flexibility to focus on specific questions if needed. They can also serve as post-tests for reviewing material after the main test. The review packages effectively reduce test anxiety and support student success. They can be used in-class by teachers or shared through educational platforms.

MULTIPLE CHOICE TESTS

Hairstyling Educational Buzz offers over 1900 multiple-choice questions with answer keys and rationales. These questions cover a wide range of hairstyling topics and are categorized into learning blocks. They assess knowledge, comprehension, and application skills, helping identify areas for additional instruction. The questions correspond with reviews, saving time for teachers. Answer key rationales can be integrated into daily lessons, and the tests can be printed or used digitally. Block G.1 contains 74 multiple-choice questions with answer keys.

EXAMS

With 11 exams available, these assessments are designed to reinforce learning and assess students' hairstyling knowledge. Our handouts are a valuable tool for learners, offering clarity, convenience, reinforcement, accessibility, and customization. These handouts effectively convey information in a concise and easy-to-understand manner, helping learners grasp key concepts. They provide a portable resource that can be referred to at any time, eliminating the need for extensive note-taking. Our rubrics play a vital role in evaluating practical assignments and assessing students' learning progress. These rubrics utilize a level system, indicating whether students are in progress, developing, or industry-ready. By providing constructive feedback, the rubrics guide students on areas for improvement to reach the next level. User-friendly and time-saving for teachers, the rubrics enable quick evaluation and direct marking.
